I wanted to create something hot. Really hot. This is as hot as it gets, the dB signature (dB as in decibel). Funny things happen with really hot pickups.......the output volume tops out but the eq shifts over to a more compressed midrange with tons of saturation. Now you'd think with more compressed midrange things would get muddy...???.... Not true here because my handwound pickups have more clarity than your standard humbucker giving the dB a nicely focused eq across all frequencies. Oh, and one more thing...this pickup gets pinch hamonics all over the place.
