I wanted something that had that "rip your head off" vintage tone. Here's what I can me up with....the Chainsaw. Sure it's hotter that your standard PAF, especially when you use an alnico 8 magnet, but when backed down it has clear vintage style tones, then dime your guitar's volume control and watch your amp start to bounce up and down.

Ok, we have melded the best of both worlds. Take actual Strat fiberboard flatwork, custom cut alnico magnets in the form of a Stratocaster single coil, double'er up in humbucker style and you have the CharlieHorse.
With a 4 conductor lead, you can wire this thing in series, parallel, or split off the coils for traditional "Strat/Tele" tones.

Midrange grind that would make Cap'n Crunch jealous. Great for rock & metal.
I wanted to create something hot. Really hot. This is as hot as it gets, the dB signature (dB as in decibel). Funny things happen with really hot pickups.......the output volume tops out but the eq shifts over to a more compressed midrange with tons of saturation. Now you'd think with more compressed midrange things would get muddy...???.... Not true here because my handwound pickups have more clarity than your standard humbucker giving the dB a nicely focused eq across all frequencies. Oh, and one more thing...this pickup gets pinch hamonics all over the place. Imagine this pickup in your Les Paul or Stratocaster through a Marshall or Boogie and get in touch with your inner metal head.
